what i've learned
"When I was in law school, I knew I wanted to be able to practice law that drove positive change in
other people's lives, but was uncertain of what type of law fit these criteria. Then I was introduced
to family law. I discovered that as a family law attorney, the role of counselor is two-fold, advocate and confidant.
As an advocate, I am able to guide clients during a very stressful and uncertain time in their life to
make decisions that benefit the client in the long term. As a confidant, I listen to clients, learning what issues they face and work with them to resolve each issue. Through this relationship, I am able to provide sound advice, helping clients work through the stress of their current situation while guiding them to the beginning of their new lives." — Brett Waller
